It's that time of year again!

We are so lucky to have parents who are involved and willing to put on this favorite event year after year!  Without the active participation of parents, the games and activities would not take place.  There are many ways families can get involved!...

-       You can volunteer your time running games, food, and other activities.
-       You can donate items to the Children’s Raffle or Silent Auction.
-       Most important for your children, you can purchase game and raffle tickets to allow your children the opportunity to experience it all!  From face painting, balloons and cotton candy…!  to games, prizes and haunted house!  It is sure to be a good time for the whole family!

Listed BELOW is everything you need to know about… THE PUMPKIN AFFAIR!

TICKET SALES!
Every year, parents purchase tickets through backpack mail in advance of Pumpkin Affair. Please secure your order in a sealed envelope before sending it to school with your child.  Label it “Pumpkin Affair.”  Also, please remind your child that you are expecting an envelope from the PTO in his or her backpack.  We need to help the children remember that they have an important job as mail carrier—to bring the tickets home so that they can have fun at the Pumpkin Affair!  Ticket orders will be filled the week before the event (Mon – Thurs). If you should experience any problems, please contact Alison Day (280-5154), or Jill Amolsch (926-6222).  pre-order form coming home soon!

Tickets will be on sale in the school lunch room/auditorium during lunch the week before the event, (Mon - Thurs).  If you don’t want to send your child to school with the money, you can buy them in person at the school on those days.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Please volunteer ½ - 1 hour for your child’s classroom game/activity by calling your child’s room representative or by contacting Katie Lownes at 752-4854, or 392-4144 or via email at Katie.lownes@mmoh.com. Your child will thank you!

DONATE TO THE BAKE SALE
Please consider donating baked goods, individually wrapped, and brought to the school the night before or morning of the event. Send in your donation slip through back-pack mail or contact Shirley McCormack, 491-8337, shirleymccormack@hotmail.com.

SILENT AUCTION
The Pumpkin Affair is proud to announce its second year of… A Silent Auction. Made possible by the generosity of the Lomond families and local businesses, we have been collecting items to assemble in baskets that will be auctioned off at this year’s Pumpkin Affair.  Bid sheets will be available for you to place your bids throughout the afternoon.
Items collected so far include Cleveland City Dance tuition certificate, jewelry, car detail certificate, guitar and tennis lessons, and our popular theme baskets from your children’s classrooms (kdg: arts and crafts, 1st: Fall/Halloween, 2nd Game Night, 3rd: Movie Night, and 4th: Boy and Girl baskets).

COME READY TO BID!
To make the Silent Auction a HUGE Success, we need you to come ready to bid! So have your check-book or cash handy). Baskets will be available to preview the week before at www.pumpkinaffair.blogspot.com

STILL ASKING FOR DONATIONS
For these two events to be a success we are still asking for donations.  For example toys, books, puzzles, gift certificates or donate an item for the themed baskets (assigned by grade). You can do so by putting the item in your child’s backpack and marking it Children’s Raffle or Silent Auction or by delivering it to the front office or box outside the office.  Don’t miss out on the fun and excitement of the Children’s Raffle and Silent Auction.  Please return all items to school by Monday, October 11th.
